Are you ready for some football? The New England Patriots face Washington on Thursday night to open up the preseason and that means we’ll get to see some new faces on the field.

While most week 1 starters will likely be sidelined, which players have the most to gain with a good performance? Who will separate themselves in the cornerback battles? How will Trent Brown fare at left tackle or Danny Shelton at defensive tackle? Which wide receiver will turn heads this year?

Alec thinks that this year is going to be different for New England because there are plenty of camp battles still open at key positions.

Rich is just upset that the Patriots released wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell- not because it’s a bad roster decision, but because Mitchell is one of his favorite draft picks of the Bill Belichick era.

Instead of Mitchell’s return, we’ll get to watch Eric Decker, Cordarrelle Patterson, Phillip Dorsett, and maybe some Kenny Britt in a competition to become the Patriots’ #3 receiver for 2018.

Alec and Rich cover it all. This podcast is available in the iTunes store, Stitcher, TuneIn, BluBrry, and via RSS Feed. Please subscribe and comment on what you want to hear about in future podcasts!
