While the New England Patriots will not return to the field until three days from now, the NFL’s fourth week of action actually starts today when the Minnesota Vikings will take on the Los Angeles Rams games in prime time. The game projects to be an interesting one with two of the NFC’s supposedly better teams going at each other.

Patriots rooting guide
Both teams play in the NFC, so the Patriots’ rooting interest is a rather minimal one. That being said, the game can still have an impact on the team in the long run: New England will play the Vikings later during the season and a Minnesota win tonight would improve their overall strength of schedule. When it comes to playoff tiebreakers against other AFC teams, this could be the deciding advantage.
