The New England Patriots’ dominating performance against the Miami Dolphins continues – with two of the team’s young players coming up with big plays. First up was cornerback J.C. Jackson who again sees regular playing time with Eric Rowe inactive due to a groin injury. The undrafted rookie was able to get inside position on a deep pass by quarterback Ryan Tannehill and pick it off for his first career interception:
Next up was running back Sony Michel. Not only did the first-round rookie go over 100 rushing yards on the day – the first such effort of his still young career –, he also scored a touchdown to put his team up 38-0:
Michel, who was up and down during his last two games – he missed the season opener due to a knee injury –, is having a dominating day and showing why New England made him the 31st pick of this year’s draft.
