New England Patriots running back Jeremy Hill suffered what appears to be a serious knee injury against the Houston Texans. He has been declared OUT for the game.
Tom Brady connected with Rob Gronkowski for a 29-yard gain, but Texans defensive back Kareem Jackson punched the ball out and it was recovered by Tyrann Mathieu. Mathieu scampered around the open field trying to find a crease for a return, but failed to do so.
During the return, Jeremy Hill was in position to make a stop, but fullback James Develin came in from a different direction and hit Hill’s right knee. He was almost immediately named OUT for the game.
It’s never a good sign when a player suffers a knee injury and immediately declared out. We will provide updates as soon as they become available.
