The New England Patriots opened up as slight underdogs to the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl 53, with the Rams 1-point favorites.
That didn’t last long.
Almost immediately, the line flipped and now the Patriots are considered 2-point favorites. This is likely to change over the next couples weeks.
The Patriots have been favored in all of their Super Bowls since they last played the Rams in Super Bowl XXXVI, where the then-St. Louis Rams were 14-point favorites.
The over/under is also set at 58, which is pretty high; it’s the highest over/under in Patriots’ Super Bowl history. For comparison, it was 48.5 last season and 57.0 the season prior.
