The first game of the 2018 NFL playoff is in the books: the sixth-seeded Indianapolis Colts went on the road against their division rival and third seed in the AFC Houston Texans. Indianapolis jumped to a 21-0 lead in the first half and never looked back, winning 21-7 in rather dominant fashion. As a result of the win, the Colts have now secured themselves a date with the first seed in the conference, the Kansas City Chiefs, next Saturday.

Indianapolis’ victory also means that tomorrow’s game between seeds number four and five — the Baltimore Ravens and the visiting Los Angeles Chargers — will determine the New England Patriots’ divisional round opponent: as the highest remaining seed no matter who wins the game, the victor will have to travel to Gillette Stadium to take on an 11-5 team that will likely be seen as the heavy favorites.

The Patriots’ playoff opener against either the Ravens or the Chargers will take place next Sunday, January 13, and will be kicked off at 1:05 p.m. ET.
