The New England Patriots crushed the New York Jets on Monday Night Football with a final score of 33-0, in a game that was even more lopsided than the score.

The New England defense held the Jets offense to hilariously impotent levels of production, with the secondary doing a great job in particular. But perhaps the stars of the team have come from the revamped linebacker corps that could be the best unit of the Bill Belichick era.

And while the Patriots offense hasn’t been outstanding, they’ve still been good enough to get the job done as Tom Brady and company have overcome an understated number of injuries to remain productive. Perhaps the team’s fortunes will change as the Patriots acquired a wide receiver from the Atlanta Falcons, via trade.
