The New England Patriots remain undefeated heading into a matchup that certainly will be one of the toughest of the team’s regular season: the 8-0 team will travel to Baltimore to take on the 5-2 Ravens. Not only is the team of head coach John Harbaugh playing at home and with plenty of momentum on its side after winning its last three games, it also enters Week 9 coming off its bye week.

Entering Week 9, the Patriots’ fan base remains among the most confident in the NFL: 90% of participants in SB Nation’s FanPulse survey have a positive attitude about the direction in which the team was headed. Even though the confidence score went down two percentage points compared to the previous week after New England’s 27-13 victory over the Cleveland Browns, the team’s fans still rank as the fifth most confident in the league.
The New Orleans Saints, who are 7-1 despite having missed Drew Brees between Week 2 and Week 7, lead the list with the rare 100% approval rating, followed by three teams who can also be ranked among the best the NFL currently has to offer: the San Francisco 49ers’ confidence score of 99% ranks them second, ahead of the Baltimore Ravens’ 97% and the Indianapolis Colts’ 93%.
Speaking of the Ravens, they broke the tie with the Patriots from last week and improved by five percentage points after standing at 92% last week. The fan bases rise in confidence is certainly remarkable — and not all that surprising considering that the team is heading into Week 9 on a three-game winning streak — as it was as low as 38% after a Week 4 blowout loss at the hands of the Browns.
