The Dallas Cowboys will head to Gillette Stadium for a 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff on Sunday.
And a pair of players from the New England Patriots’ past will have bags packed, as well.
The list of former Patriots and former Cowboys is sparse for the meeting. There are currently three roster connections in all. That is, if excluding Dallas scout-team defensive tackle Daniel Wise and his older brother, New England defensive end Deatrich Wise Jr.
But here’s a glance at the others who are set to revisit in Week 12.
DALLAS
Cameron Fleming, offensive tackle – The Patriots drafted Fleming 10 spots after Wisconsin running back James White in May 2014. The fourth-round offensive lineman out of Stanford would go on to play guard, swing tackle and eligible tight end across the next four seasons with New England. Fleming started 22 games, including playoffs, and earned a pair of Super Bowl rings before leaving for Dallas as an unrestricted free agent in March 2018. He reached two-year, $7.5 million contract extension this spring, and has started a handful of his 22 Cowboys appearances in relief of perennial Pro Bowl left tackle Tyron Smith.
Michael Bennett, defensive end – Bennett will return to Foxborough on Nov. 24 after departing for Dallas on Oct. 24. The veteran defensive end’s short stay with the Patriots spanned 130 snaps over six games. It brought five tackles, 2.5 sacks, along with a week-long suspension for conduct detrimental to the team. New England had acquired Bennett from the Philadelphia Eagles in a swap of 2020 late-round picks. By trading him, the organization obtained north of $2.6 million in cap space, as well as a conditional seventh-round pick in 2021 that is on its way to becoming a sixth-rounder. Bennett has notched three sacks thus far as a rotational presence in the Cowboys’ 4-3 scheme.
NEW ENGLAND
Nick Folk, kicker – New England signed Folk following fellow ex-Cowboys kicker Mike Nugent’s release last month. Folk originally entered the league with Dallas at pick No. 178 overall in the 2007 draft. The Arizona product would log three seasons there, earning Pro Bowl honors as a rookie while setting a single-season franchise record for most points scored at the position. The Cowboys waived Folk in December 2009, and a member of the New York Jets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Arizona Hotshots the 35-year-old has been since then. Folk has been a Patriot for two games, and gone 5-of-5 on field goals while converting both of his extra points.
