The New England Patriots returned with perfect attendance, but not perfect participation.
Mohamed Sanu, who suffered an ankle injury in New England’s 17-10 win over the Philadelphia Eagles, was again listed as a non-participant Thursday following his previous absence. Fellow wide receiver Phillip Dorsett was present and officially upgraded to limited as he works out of concussion protocol.
A total of seven Patriots practiced in a partial fashion as the Dallas Cowboys draw near.
Here’s an updated prognosis heading into Sunday’s 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff at Gillette Stadium.
DID NOT PARTICIPATE
- Patriots: WR Mohamed Sanu (ankle)
- Cowboys: OT La’el Collins (knee/back), LB Joe Thomas (illness), S Donovan Wilson (illness)
Sanu has caught 14 passes for 108 yards with one touchdown since arriving via trade in October. The veteran wideout has also stepped in as New England’s punt returner, and exited briefly last Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field after injuring his ankle in that capacity.
The Cowboys added Wilson to the injury report on Thursday due to an illness. The rookie safety from Texas A&M was among three held out of practice.
LIMITED PARTICIPATION
- Patriots: RB Damien Harris (hamstring), WR Julian Edelman (shoulder), WR Phillip Dorsett (concussion), DE John Simon (elbow), LB Ja’Whaun Bentley (knee), S Patrick Chung (heel/chest), S Nate Ebner (ankle/back)
- Cowboys: G Zack Martin (back/ankle/elbow), G Connor Williams (knee), DT Antwaun Woods (shoulder)
Edelman and Bentley were new arrivals on New England’s injury report to begin Week 12 preparations with shoulder and knee ailments, respectively. Dorsett joined them as a limited participant after observing Wednesday’s session. He suffered a concussion at Lincoln Financial Field in the process of catching his fifth touchdown the season.
The Dallas side of the limited remained unchanged.
FULL PARTICIPATION
- Patriots: no players listed
- Cowboys: WR Amari Cooper (knee), DE DeMarcus Lawrence (neck), S Jeff Heath (shoulder)
Three Cowboys starters to continued to practice in full on Thursday.
A shoulder injury forced Heath to miss Dallas’ matchup with the Detroit Lions last weekend. Cooper played 41 offensive snaps and Lawrence played 43 defensive snaps in what was a 35-27 victory. All of whom are on track for the visit to Foxborough.
