I have gotten a lot of questions since joining the great staff at Pats Pulpit and the Pats Pulpit Podcast Network. Questions like “Have you ever thought about fixing your accent?” or “What makes you qualified to talk about the Patriots?” or “Why do you talk so fast?” and of course “Seriously, what is the deal with Toto?”
But one I get most of all is this: “How do I listen to your show?”
Well, dear potential listener, today is your lucky day. A guide to finding and enjoying the Pats Pulpit Podcast Network.
Step One: Finding an Application
The first step is using an application to find podcasts.
Chances are you’re reading this on a phone, perhaps an iPhone, which makes it easy. Apple Podcasts is built right in and you can find the Pats Pulpit Podcast Network by searching for “Pats Pulpit” and you will quickly find the feed for the shows:
This is a good time to remind you, potential dear listener, that to get all of the shows on our network you need to be subscribed to the main show feed. There are not separate subscriptions/feeds for the individual shows. So whether it is Patriot Nation, Pulpit Playback, Pats Pulpit: Radio Rewind, The Pats Pulpit Podcast, or yes, The Scho Show, subscribing to the main feed gives you them all.
If you are accessing Apple Podcasts from your computer, here is what you’ll see:
As you can see, just type Pats Pulpit into the search bar and you’ll get a list of some of the recent shows. Clicking on any of the items in the “Podcast” column will bring you to the main page for the show, which looks like this:
That’s a lot of content!
Just hit that subscribe button, and you’re good to go. Also, drop a review when you get a chance...?
If you’re on Android, Google Podcasts comes already installed on newer phones. If you don’t have the latest Android phone, it’s an easy install (click here).
The rest of the process is similar to Apple: Search “Pats Pulpit”, click on us, and you’ll get this screen. Click “Subscribe” and you’re in!
Maybe you’re using Stitcher to get your podcasts. Again, all you need to do is search for “Pats Pulpit” and it will bring up this page. That will have all the recent shows, some similar shows (remember, please listen to ours first) ways to share shows on social media (we love that!) and ways to listen on either Apple or Android phones.
Maybe you’re more of a music person, and as your fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way you like to have a Spotify play list going in the background. But then you get the urge to hear some Patriots talk. Fear not! Don’t reach for the radio dial, Spotify and Pats Pulpit have you covered there as well. Just a simple search and boom, you’re there:
Finally, there is another little trick. You have probably seen articles for each podcast right here on the pages of the Pulpit. The podcast provider, Megaphone, provides this media player for each article:
If you click the handy “Subscribe” button right there, this will pop up:
That makes it truly easy to click on the podcast provider of your choice. You know, maybe I should have just started there...
Step Two: Enjoy
That’s it! There’s no real step two. You’ve accomplished something today. Feel proud, dear listener.
