The New England Patriots were celebrating their Super Bowl victory with a nice parade in downtown Boston, but the front office was taking #NoDaysOff. Eight players signed reserve/future contracts with the Patriots, per ESPN’s Mike Reiss.
The Patriots signed the following players to reserve/future deals: OL Cole Croston, QB Danny Etling, DL Trent Harris, DL Frank Herron, DB A.J. Howard, LB Calvin Munson, WR Damoun Patterson, OL Dan Skipper. All eight players were on the team’s practice squad.

All eight players were on the Patriots’ practice squad and, honestly, they all have a chance to make the roster next year. The two practice squad players not listed are defensive back Jomal Wiltz, who spent the past two seasons on the Patriots practice squad and might be interested in finding a bigger opportunity elsewhere, and offensive lineman Tony Adams.
The, uh, big names to watch with these signings are offensive lineman Cole Croston, quarterback Danny Etling, and pass rusher Trent Harris. Croston has spent time on the Patriots’ active roster, while Etling has the opportunity to unseat Brian Hoyer as the #2 quarterback for New England. Harris stood out during the 2018 preseason.
The Patriots also officially announced the previously reported signings of offensive linemen Jake Eldrenkamp and Ryker Mathews and defensive tackle David Parry.
Welcome back to all these Patriots!
