The New England Patriots are re-signing cornerback Jason McCourty on a 2-year deal, per NFL Media’s Mike Garafolo. The Patriots acquired McCourty from the Cleveland Browns ahead of the 2018 NFL season. McCourty, brother of Patriots safety Devin McCourty, started for the Patriots at cornerback for the majority of the season.

McCourty, who turns 32 this summer, was a great complementary player to All Pro cornerback Stephon Gilmore. New England is now in great position to help the secondary transition to younger players like J.C. Jackson and Duke Dawson over the next couple of seasons.
[UPDATE] ESPN’s Mike Reiss has the contract details.
In a reflection of how the Patriots valued CB Jason McCourty, he signed a two-year contract with a base value of $10 million, with $5.5 million guaranteed. That's a big upgrade from his 2018 salary.
