The New England Patriots are signing former Denver Broncos tight end Matt LaCosse, according to ESPN’s Field Yates.

The 6’6, 255-pound LaCosse is entering his fifth season in the league. He spent 2015-17 with the New York Giants and 2017-18 with the Broncos. He has 27 receptions for 272 yards and a touchdown over the course of his career, with 250 of those yards coming last season. He played 418 offensive snaps last season, along with 102 special teams snaps.
LaCosse has ideal size for the position an runs an impressive 4.64s 40-yard dash. He’s been stuck at the bottom of the depth chart at both of his previous stops.
