The Miami Dolphins released wide receiver Danny Amendola after one season with the team. Amendola had signed a 2-year, $12 million deal with Miami and led the team with 575 receiving yards. He is now a free agent that won’t count against the compensatory draft pick calculation.

Amendola was a receiver for the New England Patriots from 2013-17 where he was a standout on the biggest stages. He underplayed the contract he received in 2013 and was asked to take multiple paycuts, so it’s no surprise that he cashed in with the Dolphins in 2018.
But if the 33-year-old Amendola wants to return to New England on a cheaper deal for a chance to win another Super Bowl, then I’m sure he’d be invited back with open arms. The Patriots are extremely thin at wide receiver and Amendola has an established rapport with Tom Brady and the offense.
Oh, and The Athletic’s Jeff Howe reports that “Amendola would be interested in returning to the Patriots.”
Would you want Amendola back? Or do you think some other team will pay more to draw him away?
