NFL draft 2019: Patriots draft RB Damien Harris with the 87th pick

New England has picked another player.

The New England Patriots have made their fourth pick of the 2019 NFL draft: with the 87th overall selection, the reigning world champions selected Alabama running back Damien Harris.

Position: Running back

School: Alabama

Size: 5102, 216 lbs

Quick-hit analysis: A second-team All-SEC selection last year and team captain at Alabama, Harris will likely serve as the top early-down and short yardage running back option alongside Sony Michel. A very good pass blocker, he lacks the burst to be a true bell cow runner, but should become a serviceable rotational option.
