NFL draft 2019: Patriots trade 73rd pick to the Bears for 87th, 162nd and 2020 fourth-round pick

New England has moved down the board. Again.

NFL: New England Patriots at Chicago Bears Quinn Harris-USA TODAY Sports

The New England Patriots started day two by moving up the board to pick defensive back JoeJuan Williams. Since then, it’s been down for the team twice. After trading the 64th pick to the Seattle Seahawks, the Patriots have made another trade-down. This time, the Chicago Bears are involved in the transaction:

Patriots get: #87 + #162 + 2020 fourth rounder

Bears get: #73 + #205

Quick-hit analysis: The Patriots add two additional draft picks due to their trade down, and for the first time added another choice for next year. New England now also owns a selection in the fifth round after originally trading their own fifth-rounder to the Philadelphia Eagles for Michael Bennett.
