The NFL announced preseason match-ups for the 2019 season, with specific dates and times of those games to be determined at a later date.
The New England Patriots will be on the road for the first two preseason games, opening up against the Detroit Lions and then the Tennessee Titans. The Lions are led by former Patriots defensive coordinator Matt Patricia and will feature former Patriots pass rusher Trey Flowers, who joined Detroit on a huge contract this offseason. The Titans are coached by former Patriots linebacker Mike Vrabel and the roster is littered with former Patriots, like Dion Lewis, Logan Ryan, and Malcolm Butler.
The Patriots will be at home for the final two preseason games, facing the Carolina Panthers in week 3, before hosting the traditional week 4 preseason game against the New York Giants.
