Veldheer spent (checks watch) eight days with the Patriots, so this isn’t a foundation-changing moment for the team, but it does impact its depth.
Veldheer projected to be in competition for the team’s starting left tackle position, alongside 2018 first round pick Isaiah Wynn and 2019 third round pick Yodny Cajuste. The Patriots will likely find another veteran to compete for the same job.
Best of luck to Veldheer in retirement.
