Watch the Patriots players react to receiving the biggest Super Bowl rings ever

Thursday was a big day in New England. Not only did the Patriots hold their third and final practice of this year’s mandatory minicamp, the players and coaches that were with the team last year also received their reward for winning Super Bowl 53: team owner Robert Kraft handed out championship rings in a private party on Thursday night. The highlight, of course, was the unveiling of the Patriots’ sixth Super Bowl ring.

“As some of you may recall, our last ring featured the score 28-3: 283 diamonds. That ring was the largest Super Bowl ring ever made — until this one,” said Kraft in his speech during the event. “Your Super Bowl 53 championship ring features 422 diamonds. While there is a certified appraisal of value with your ring, what it really represents to my family, our fans, and as a member of this team is truly priceless.”

Kraft then asked the 2018 Patriots to open their ring boxes — and here are some of their reactions:
