After spending most of the last week in Detroit, the New England Patriots are back home now to continue their 2019 training camp at the Gillette Stadium practice fields. For this purpose, the reigning world champions will hold two more sessions this week before again going on the road to conduct joint practices with the Tennessee Titans. In fact, this week’s sessions will be the final two of the summer that are open to the Foxborough faithful.
While not yet finalized, the schedule we know so far looks as follows:
August 12, 9:45 a.m. ET (gates: 8:30 a.m. ET)
August 13, TBD (morning practice)
If you have not yet been to Gillette Stadium to watch the Patriots, now is your final chance to do so. As always, the practices are open to the public and free to attend. On top of it all, they will also give you the opportunity to join the team in doing some good: as part of ‘Operation Backpack,’ the New England Patriots Foundation is trying to fill 15,000 backpacks for military children with school supplies.
In order to take pressure off military families, the foundation is therefore collecting all kinds of supplies — from folders, spiral notebooks and three-ring binders to washable markers and boxed crayons. If you do visit one of the Patriots’ two practices this week, keep an eye out for the collection boxes that will be placed at the gates.
