The New England Patriots defeated the Tennessee Titans in week 2 of the preseason, thanks to a great debut by rookie third rounder Damien Harris and a strong second half by rookie fourth rounder Jarrett Stidham, along with another great day by undrafted rookie receiver Jakobi Meyers. Rookie fourth round offensive guard Hjalte Froholdt has played every single snap this preseason.
Rookie second round cornerback Joejuan Williams locked down the Titans receivers, rookie third round pass rusher Chase Winovich was the best player on the field, and rookie fifth round defensive tackle Byron Cowart set the tone early with a sack. Oh, and rookie fifth round punter Jake Bailey won the starting job.
It seems like the kids are alright.
Oh, and veteran receivers Julian Edelman, Demaryius Thomas, and Josh Gordon all returned to practice on Monday in various capacities. Tom Brady must be ecstatic. The only thing missing is a return by Rob Gronkowski...
