NFL: Kansas City Chiefs at Tennessee Titans Jim Brown-USA TODAY Sports

The New England Patriots’ season is already over, but the NFL playoffs continue nevertheless. Today, the two conference championships are on the menu. First up is the AFC, where the Kansas City Chiefs will host the Tennessee Titans. On the NFC side, meanwhile, the San Francisco 49ers and the Green Bay Packers will try to punch a ticket for the Super Bowl. With all that being said, who should Patriots fans root for today? Let’s take a look at the two games to find out.

#6 Tennessee Titans (9-7) at #2 Kansas City Chiefs (12-4)

When: 3:05 p.m. ET

Where: Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City MO

Television: CBS

Live streaming: fuboTV (sign up here)

SB Nation coverage: Music City Miracles (Titans), Arrowhead Pride (Chiefs)

Patriots rooting guide: Go Titans! From head coach Mike Vrabel to general manager Jon Robinson to numerous players, Tennessee has plenty of former Patriots on its pay roll. Rooting for the sixth-seeded Titans — who already eliminated the third-seeded Patriots on wild-card weekend and the top-seeded Baltimore Ravens in the divisional round — is therefore an easy decision.

#2 Green Bay Packers (13-3) at #1 San Francisco 49ers (13-3)

When: 6:40 p.m. ET

Where: Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara CA

Television: FOX

Live streaming: fuboTV (sign up here)

SB Nation coverage: Acme Packing Company (Packers), Niners Nation (49ers)

Patriots rooting guide: Go 49ers! Fair or not, most of the conversation in the NFL centers around the quarterback position. The question for Patriots fans entering the NFC title game therefore is whether or not they would prefer to see Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers or San Francisco’s Jimmy Garoppolo in the Super Bowl. Most will likely go with the former New England backup, which makes the 49ers today’s rooting interest.
