Thank You, Patriots!

Another great season in the books!

Thank you, Patriots!

New England’s season is over...and before the absolute onslaught of “The End of the Dynasty” talks and the legions of Tom Brady/Patriots haters dancing in the streets, confident that this year FINALLY marks the end of this amazing run, I wanted to take a minute to express my appreciation for the team, and for this Pats Pulpit community, for these last few months. Not every season ends in a Super Bowl victory, and such is the case for the 2019 Patriots. Everybody knows that New England only wins a championship every other year, so a hearty congratulations to Mike Vrabel and the Tennessee Titans for a well-deserved win.

The offense played like it has all year tonight - and honestly, so did the defense. New England struggled against the run all season, and man did it show here. This Patriots team ultimately wasn’t all that good, they deserved to lose tonight...and that’s totally fine. I think I’ll be OK. These 12-4 division winning down years can really take their toll on you, but the Patriots will bounce back.

Or maybe they won’t. Maybe they’ll stink for the next 20 years. They could win another championship next year or they could never win again. Who knows. What I do know is I’m a fan of this team, I appreciate each season, win or loss, and 2019 is no different. Football is for fun. Never forget that.

So thanks, New England! And congrats, Tennessee! We’re on to the offseason.
