While it seems as if the year 2020 started approximately 28.3 months ago, the NFL’s regular season is flying by and we have already made it to Week 4. The fourth weekend of pro football action will be kicked off with a game nobody would consider a heavyweight fight: the winless Denver Broncos will visit the winless New York Jets. That said, the prime time matchup does give the New England Patriots and their fans an opportunity to scout not one but two upcoming opponents.
With that being said, here’s how you can watch the game and who you should root for.
Denver Broncos (0-3) at New York Jets (0-3)
When: 8:20 p.m. ET
Where: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford NJ
Television: NFL Network
Live streaming: fuboTV (Try for free here!)
SB Nation coverage: Mile High Report (Broncos), Gang Green Nation (Jets)
Patriots rooting guide: Go Broncos! As noted above, the Patriots will play both Denver and New York later this week: the Broncos will visit Gillette Stadium next week with the Jets going up against the Patriots in Weeks 9 and 17. Tonight’s matchup will therefore have no impact on New England’s strength of schedule or potential strength of victory, and yet fans should root for the visitors. Why? A Jets loss would further hurt their record and in turn improve the standing of a future Patriots draft pick in 2021: that of the sixth-rounder New York sent to its rivals as part of the Demaryius Thomas trade last September.
