The New England Patriots were scheduled to take on the Denver Broncos tonight, but defensive tackle Byron Cowart testing positive for the Coronavirus forced the NFL to postpone the game until next Sunday. There is still a game going on today, though, with the Los Angeles Chargers traveling to New Orleans to play the Saints.
Here’s how you can watch the game and who you should root for.
Los Angeles Chargers (1-3) at New Orleans Saints (2-2)
When: 8:15 p.m. ET
Where: Mercedes-Benz Superdome, New Orleans LA
Television: ESPN
Live streaming: fuboTV (Try for free here!)
SB Nation coverage: Bolts From the Blue (Chargers), Canal Street Chronicles (Saints)
Patriots rooting guide: Go Chargers! While the game itself has no direct impact on the Patriots and their standing in the AFC’s playoff picture, it could help New England in the long run: a Los Angeles win would improve the Patriots’ strength of schedule and possibly strength of victory — two tiebreakers that could become important when the postseason seeding gets finalized later during the regular season. New England and L.A. will play in Week 13, unless Covid-19 forces another schedule change.
