The New England Patriots are currently playing against the Denver Broncos, but the next slate of games today is already in the pipeline: a total of three are on the schedule, with some familiar faces — both in terms of opponents and old friends — taking the field today.

4:05 pm ET

New York Jets (0-5) at Miami Dolphins (2-3): CBS

Go Jets! Two of the ’ division rivals open today’s round of late games. Rooting for either team will feel unnatural, but New England fans should go with the Jets: they do not look like a threat for the AFC East title but could hurt themselves in the race for the number one overall draft pick next spring.

4:25 pm ET

Green Bay Packers (4-0) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-2): FOX

Go Buccaneers! While the game between the Packers and Buccaneers has on real impact on the Patriots and their place in the AFC’s playoff race, their fans should still root for Tampa Bay because of two men: Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski.

8:05 pm ET

Los Angeles Rams (4-1) at San Francisco 49ers (2-3): NBC

Go good game! New England will play both Los Angeles and San Francisco later this year, which means that their meeting tonight has no impact on the team’s strength of schedule or possibly victory. Patriots fans can therefore root for a good, entertaining, and injury-free game.
