The New England Patriots will not join the action in Week 7 until Sunday afternoon — they will host the San Francisco 49ers at 4:25 pm that day — but the first of this week’s games already takes place tonight. The contest features a long-standing rivalry, but two teams who have struggled mightily so far this season: the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles have each one just one game up until this point.
With all that said, here’s how you can watch the game and who you should root for (or not).
New York Giants (1-5) at Philadelphia Eagles (1-4-1)
When: 8:20 p.m. ET
Where: Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia PA
Television: FOX/NFL Network
Live streaming: fuboTV (Try for free here!)
SB Nation coverage: Big Blue View (Giants), Bleeding Green Nation (Eagles)
Patriots rooting guide: Go... well, entertaining football, or something?! Patriots fans really have no rooting interest in this contest. While you could root for the Eagles based on the fact that they are 1-1 in the Super Bowl against New England (the Giants are 2-0), the visitors are led by former Patriots special teams coordinator and wide receivers coach Joe Judge. From a standings or future draft pick perspective, however, the game has no impact on the team. So, the best way is probably to root against a terrible game.
