The New England Patriots are still competing against the Buffalo Bills, but the second series of games is soon about to be kicked off. Four total contests are still on the schedule today, with the Patriots getting a chance to scout one of their future opponents.

4:05 pm ET
Los Angeles Chargers (2-4) at Denver Broncos (2-4): CBS
Go Chargers! New England will have played both clubs when all is said and done, so the game will have no impact on the Patriots’ strength of schedule tiebreaker. That said, with the team already having lost against Denver a Chargers win could potentially improve New England’s strength of victory — depending, of course, on the game in L.A. later this year.
4:25 pm ET
San Francisco 49ers (4-3) at Seattle Seahawks (5-1): FOX
Go good game! New England has played both the 49ers and the Seahawks already this season, and lost both games. The NFC West matchup has therefore no impact on the team’s tiebreaker situation, meaning that you can root for either.
New Orleans Saints (4-2) at Chicago Bears (5-2): FOX
Go good game! As is the case with San Francisco versus Seattle, the second afternoon game between two NFC teams also has no meaning for the Patriots in terms of the standings.
8:20 pm ET
Dallas Cowboys (2-5) at Philadelphia Eagles (2-4-1): NBC
Go Eagles! New England fans have something to root for on Sunday Night Football, even if being for Philadelphia may feel wrong. However, the Patriots own the Cowboys’ sixth-round draft pick next year due to the Michael Bennett trade. An Eagles win would help position that selection rather early.
