Perfect attendance remained for the New England Patriots’ active roster on Thursday.
But 13 remained limited at practice as the road matchup with the Houston Texans nears, and captain Matthew Slater became the 14th.
New England’s perennial All-Pro on special teams would be listed with a knee issue.
Here’s the second injury report for Sunday’s 1 p.m. ET kickoff at NRG Stadium.
DID NOT PARTICIPATE
- Patriots: no players listed
- Texans: OT Laremy Tunsil (illness), S Michael Thomas (shoulder), P Bryan Anger (right quad)
Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman has yet to return to practice after undergoing a knee procedure in October. The organization has, however, begun the 21-day window for rookie offensive lineman Justin Herron to return from injured reserve.
Three Texans have now missed consecutive practices this week. Tunsil, who has seen every down at left tackle this campaign, stayed sidelined because of an illness.
LIMITED PARTICIPATION
- Patriots: RB Damien Harris (ankle/chest), WR Matthew Slater (knee), TE Ryan Izzo (hamstring/hand), OT Isaiah Wynn (ankle), G Joe Thuney (ankle), G Shaq Mason (calf), DT Lawrence Guy (shoulder/elbow/knee), DT Adam Butler (shoulder), DE Deatrich Wise (knee/hand), LB John Simon (elbow), LB Ja’Whaun Bentley (groin), LB Terez Hall (shoulder), CB Stephon Gilmore (knee), K Nick Folk (back)
- Texans: RB Duke Johnson (illness), WR Kenny Stills (back), G Senio Kelemete (concussion), DE Charles Omenihu (hamstring), LB Jacob Martin (not injury related)
Slater, who had been on New England’s injury report earlier in the fall, has stayed in for 84.79 percent of the work in the kicking game through nine games. That rate is tied with fellow gunner Justin Bethel for the team lead. There would be no additional changes to the Patriots’ limited list on Thursday.
The Texans’ limited list gained Johnson and Stills. The running back and wide receiver had been non-participants on Wednesday because of an illness and back injury, respectively.
