Thanksgiving weekend may be in the books, but the NFL’s 12th week of regular season action continues tonight in a battle of two teams currently competing for a place in the NFC’s playoff picture — despite having two hugely different records heading into their meeting: the Seattle Seahawks have traveled to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles.
With that said, here’s how you can watch the games and who New England Patriots fans should root for.

Patriots rooting guide: Go Seahawks! While the game between Seattle and Philadelphia has only a limited impact on the AFC playoff race and New England’s place within it, Patriots fans do have a clear team to root for: the visiting Seahawks. There is one main reason for it, namely strength-of-schedule postseason tiebreakers. A Seattle win over the Eagles would have a positive impact on New England’s schedule strength — boosting a tiebreaker that might become important further down the line. On top of it, rooting against a Philadelphia team that once beat the Patriots in a Super Bowl is also always the right thing to do. Furthermore, it would add additional chaos to the NFC East, which is welcome as well.
