The New England Patriots returned to the win column last week versus the Arizona Cardinals, and now have a chance to get back to .500 for the first time since Week 6. While it remains to be seen whether or not they can do that versus the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday remains to be seen, but we here at Pats Pulpit feel confident as our picks show: all six staff members participating in this week’s picks go with New England over L.A.
“We already saw Bill bamboozle Kyler Murray last week. Imagine what he’s cooking up for a gunslinger like Justin Herbert,” wrote Matthew Rewinski.
“The Patriots have their issues, but the coaching matchup here is unfair. It should probably be close, which is bad news for the Chargers,” added Pat Lane.
The Patriots’ game will obviously be watched closely on Sunday, but it is not the only high-profile matchup this weekend. Whether it is the Cleveland Browns against the Tennessee Titans, the Houston Texans versus the Indianapolis Colts or the Buffalo Bills’ road contest against the San Francisco 49ers there is a lot of quality football on the schedule in Week 13 — with plenty of implications on the playoff pictures on both sides.
In the meantime, we will continue to aim for our ambitious goal of correctly trying pick each game regardless of when it is played.
SB Nation has partnered with Tallysight this year, after all, so we are gladly trying our best to a) use their game picking tool, and b) find out who of us is best at this. So without any further ado, here is this week’s round-up which is totally not biased in the Patriots’ direction whatsoever. And please let us know what you think in the comments below!
