The New England Patriots did not begin on-field preparations for the Los Angeles Rams on Monday.

But 14 members of the active roster projected as limited participants to begin the condensed week at UCLA, including cornerbacks J.C. Jackson and Jonathan Jones.

Here’s the initial injury report heading into Thursday’s 8:20 p.m. ET matchup at SoFi Stadium.

  • Patriots: no players listed
  • Rams: RB Cam Akers (shoulder), DE Michael Brockers (neck)

No Patriots would have been sidelined on Monday, though a pair would have for the Rams.

Akers in the backfield and Brockers along the defensive line are managing shoulder and neck ailments, respectively. Akers rushed 21 times for 72 yards and a touchdown versus the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. And in the 38-28 Los Angeles win, Brockers started and played 30 defensive snaps.

  • Patriots: QB Cam Newton (abdomen), RB J.J. Taylor (quadricep), FB Jakob Johnson (knee), WR Matthew Slater (knee), TE Ryan Izzo (hamstring/hand/neck), G Shaq Mason (calf), DT Lawrence Guy (shoulder), DT Adam Butler (shoulder), DT Byron Cowart (back), LB Ja’Whaun Bentley (groin), CB J.C. Jackson (hip/knee), CB Jonathan Jones (neck), S Kyle Dugger (toe), K Nick Folk (back)
  • Rams: LB Terrell Lewis (knee)

Both Jackson and Jones exited the secondary during New England’s meeting with the Chargers of Los Angeles on Sunday. Jackson, dealing with a knee injury in addition to his previous hip injury, intercepted his seventh pass of the season in the 45-0 shutout. Jones suffered a neck injury in the first half and was announced as questionable to return.

As for the Rams, Lewis marked the lone limited projection on Monday. The third-round outside linebacker out of Alabama has registered two sacks through six appearances this season.

  • Patriots: no players listed
  • Rams: C Brian Allen (knee)

No members of the New England side of the aisle were forecasted as full participants to open the week.

But Allen, a nine-game starter for the 2019 Los Angeles offensive line before suffering a season-ending knee injury, would have practiced in that capacity.
