Patriots rooting guide: Go Cowboys! While a Dallas victory would hurt the position of the draft pick the team sent to New England as part of the Michael Bennett trade, it is still the preferred outcome from the team’s perspective. After all, it would directly hurt another team competing for one of the three wild card playoff spots in the AFC. With the Patriots holding the head-to-head tiebreaker over Baltimore, a Cowboys victory would put them ahead of the Ravens in the standings.
