Former Cleveland Browns assistant general manager Eliot Wolf has joined the New England Patriots in a consulting capacity, Neil Stratton of Inside The League reported Wednesday.

Wolf and the Browns mutually agreed to part ways in January after Andrew Berry succeeded John Dorsey as GM.

The son of longtime Green Bay Packers executive and Pro Football Hall of Famer Ron Wolf had been working with the Seattle Seahawks during the pre-draft process at the NFL Scouting Combine.

Wolf, 37, resided on Green Bay’s staff from 2004 through 2017 before spending the past two seasons in Cleveland.

The University of Miami alum held the titles of pro personnel assistant, assistant director of pro personnel, assistant director of player personnel, director of pro personnel, director of player personnel and ultimately director of football operations for the Packers.

During the 2018 offseason, Green Bay interviewed Wolf for its GM position prior to the promotion of Brian Gutekunst.
