The Scho Show Episode #104: Finding the next Patriots undrafted rookie gem

The Lewerke Show.

Having recapped the draft class it is time to turn to the undrafted free agents. The New England Patriots have generally been a model franchise when it comes to finding talent in the undrafted ranks, and last year was not an exception to this rule. A year ago, three such players made the roster: wide receivers Gunner Olszewski and Jakobi Meyers, and fullback Jakob Johnson. That kept alive a streak dating back to 2004.

The Patriots have two potential quarterbacks in this crop, among them Big Ten passer Brian Lewerke from Michigan State. In this installment of The Scho Show, Mark dives into his history as a draft prospect, the perils of summer scouting season, opens up Uncle Mark’s Storytime Hour to highlight one afternoon in College Park, Maryland and walks you through what Lewerke offers.
