10 days after the news were first reported, Cam Newton is now officially a member of the New England Patriots: the team announced the signing on Wednesday afternoon. With the 31-year-old now in the fold, the competition for the right to succeed Tom Brady as the Patriots’ new starting quarterback has quickly become more intense.

Newton, who will go up against Jarrett Stidham and Brian Hoyer, is a three-time Pro Bowler and one-time NFL MVP who brings nine years of starting experience to the table. There is a lot to be excited about when it comes to Newton fitting into the Patriots offense.

In order to properly celebrate Newton’s arrival in New England, fans now have the opportunity to earn some CN1 apparel. Breaking T released some T-shirts last week, while the official Patriots jersey — with his trademark No. 1 — is now also available through Fanatics.
