The New England Patriots waived rookie defensive lineman Nick Coe on Thursday, bringing the active roster to 76.

The transaction was first reported by the Boston Globe’s Jim McBride.

Coe, 23, had signed as part of New England’s undrafted class in April after appearing in 36 games across three seasons on the field at Auburn. The 6-foot-5, 291-pound redshirt junior finished his SEC career with 71 tackles, nine sacks, a pair of forced fumbles and one pass deflection.

Coe’s departure would be among a series of moves that made the league wire for New England on Thursday.

Rookie center Dustin Woodard, a seventh-round pick out of Memphis, has been placed on the retired list. In addition, the signing of veteran running back Lamar Miller has been made official.

Miller will begin training camp on physically unable to perform after missing 2019 due to a torn ACL and MCL. The former Houston Texan and Miami Dolphin counts on the Patriots’ active list alongside fellow rusher Sony Michel, who underwent foot surgery in the spring.
