The New England Patriots moved to 1-0 in Cam Newton’s first game in a Patriots uniform. Newton was efficient and effective, despite an obvious lack of production from his receivers- and it was up to the ground game to move the offense down the field.
On the other side of the ball, the defense picked up where they left off last season with another excellent performance, despite an array of new faces in key roles. Newcomer Adrian Phillips had a great debut, too, as the defense forced three turnovers.
