In not even 90 minutes, the New England Patriots will play their second game of this year’s regular season, trying to improve to 2-0: the reigning AFC East champions will square off against a Seattle Seahawks team that is also heading into the contest with a 1-0 record. Before getting ahead of ourselves, however, let’s take a look at the players on both sides who have been declared inactive and will therefore not participate in today’s contest:
Patriots inactives
CB Myles Bryant
OT Korey Cunningham
TE Dalton Keene
QB Jarrett Stidham
LB Josh Uche
RB James White
Heading into the weekend only one member of the Patriots was ruled out to participate in tonight’s game: second-round rookie linebacker Josh Uche, who was a healthy scratch in Week 1, was declared inactive due to an ankle injury. He missed Wednesday’s practice because of the ailment before being a limited participant on Friday.
The youngster is joined on the inactives list by only one player who was also listed on the injury report: tight end Dalton Keene will miss his second straight game as well because of a neck injury. The other players above, meanwhile, are all healthy scratches based on Friday’s injury report.
The biggest name on the list is running back James White, and the reason for his inactivity is tragic: according to FOX Sports’ Andy Slater, his parents were involved in a car crash earlier today that killed his father and left his mother in critical condition. His inactivity is not the slightest surprise given these terrible news. Our thoughts are with White and his family.
Seahawks inactives

WR Phillip Dorsett II
DE Rasheem Green
OT Cedric Ogbuehi

LB D’Andre Walker
Ex-Patriot Phillip Dorsett as well as Cedric Ogbuehi and Rasheem Green were all listed on Friday’s injury report: Dorsett was questionable because of a foot issue, with the other two doubtful because of pectoral and neck issues, respectively.
