The New England Patriots will face the Las Vegas Raiders without three.
Running back James White, center David Andrews and linebacker Josh Uche were ruled out on Friday, while an additional five members of New England’s active roster were designated as questionable.
According to Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer, Andrews recently underwent surgery on a broken right thumb. The captain of the offensive line has not missed a snap since the start of the regular season.
Here’s the final injury report heading into Sunday’s 1 p.m. ET kickoff at Gillette Stadium.
- Patriots: RB James White (not injury related), C David Andrews (hand), LB Josh Uche (foot)
- Raiders: WR Henry Ruggs (knee/hamstring), OT Trent Brown (calf), LB Nick Kwiatkoski (pectoral
White did not participate in practice this week. The Patriots running back had been inactive last Sunday following the death of his father in a Florida car crash that left his mother in critical condition. His absence leaves New England without a pair of offensive captains for Week 3. And out on the defensive side is Uche. The rookie second-rounder out of Michigan has yet to make his NFL debut, and went from limited to sidelined on Friday due to a foot injury.
The Raiders ruled out Brown and Kwiatkoski for the trip to Foxborough. Neither veteran starter returned to practice to close the short week. And Ruggs, the No. 12 overall pick via Alabama, would be downgraded due to hamstring and knee injuries.
- Patriots: WR Julian Edelman (knee), WR N’Keal Harry (ankle), OT Isaiah Wynn (calf), DT Adam Butler (shoulder, S Kyle Dugger (ankle)
- Raiders: RB Josh Jacobs (hip), TE Darren Waller (knee), OT Sam Young (groin), G Denzelle Good (thumb/illness)
Each of the Patriots’ questionable practiced in a partial capacity on Friday. And Wynn, who is dealing with a calf issue, marked the lone addition. The starting left tackle has played all 136 snaps through New England’s 1-1 start.
For the Raiders, both Jacobs and Waller reconvened for the final practice. The running back and tight end did so in limited fashion after accounting for north of 200 yards from scrimmage in Las Vegas’ 34-24 win over the New Orleans Saints.
