The New England Patriots’ practice squad returned to its 16-man limit on Tuesday.
The signings of former Tennessee Titans wide receivers Mason Kinsey and Kristian Wilkerson have been processed, according to the NFL transaction wire.
Both rookies were hosted on free-agent visits to begin the week after being waived by Tennessee ahead of the league’s roster deadline.
The 5-foot-10, 188-pound Kinsey, a Berry College product, went undrafted in April after recording 203 catching for 3,343 yards and 50 touchdowns in his Division III career. As did the 6-foot-1, 201-pound Wilkerson, by way of Southeast Missouri State, who finished his FCS tenure with 219 catches for 3,540 yards and 33 touchdowns.
Kinsey and Wilkerson will join fellow wideouts in Devin Ross and Isaiah Zuber on New England’s practice squad as the season opener against the Miami Dolphins approaches.
The scout team stood with a pair of openings after running back J.J. Taylor and linebacker Cassh Maluia were elevated to the 53-man roster on Monday.
