The New England Patriots practiced indoors on Wednesday, and with perfect attendance as Los Angeles Chargers prep got underway.

Starting tight end Jonnu Smith would be among 15 limited for New England’s active roster after exiting last weekend against the New York Jets with a shoulder issue. Rookie cornerback Shaun Wade would also be on hand for the first time since Oct. 6 while working back from a concussion.

“He’s trending in the right direction,” Patriots head coach Bill Belichick said of the fifth-round pick out of Ohio State. “When he’s ready, he’s ready.”
