The New England Patriots practiced with two new defensive backs in uniform Wednesday.

One would be Brian Poole. The other would be De’Vante Bausby, who has also signed to the practice squad, according to Mark Daniels of the Providence Journal.

Both veterans worked out for the organization last week before starting nickelback Jonathan Jones went on injured reserve with a season-ending shoulder injury.

Bausby, 28, originally signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of Pittsburg State in 2015. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound corner has also been a member of the Chicago Bears, Philadelphia Eagles, Denver Broncos, Arizona Cardinals, Las Vegas Raiders and Alliance of American Football’s San Antonio Commanders.

Through 26 games and six starts in his NFL career, Bausby stands with 60 tackles and eight pass deflections. He has played 170 snaps on special teams and 794 snaps on defense, including 42 last November when the Broncos faced the Patriots at Gillette Stadium.

New England’s Wednesday roster movement also included the reported return of linebacker Calvin Munson off the Miami Dolphins’ practice squad.
