Isaiah Wynn and Mike Onwenu remain on the Covid-19 reserve list, but the New England Patriots continued to practice without an additional two starting offensive linemen on Thursday.
Both Trent Brown and Shaq Mason were again listed as non-participants due to calf and abdomen injuries, respectively, as the Houston Texans matchup nears. The right tackle last played on the initial drive of New England’s season opener while the right guard has played all 265 snaps from September into October.
Here’s the updated prognosis for Sunday’s 1 p.m. ET kickoff at NRG Stadium.
DID NOT PARTICIPATE
Patriots
- OT Trent Brown (calf)
- G Shaq Mason (abdomen)
- CB Shaun Wade (concussion)
Texans
- QB Deshaun Watson (not injury related)
- WR Chris Conley (not injury related)
- RB Rex Burkhead (hip)
- OT Marcus Cannon (back)
Along with Wynn, Onwenu, Brown and Mason, the Patriots also added Wade to the injury report on Thursday after the rookie cornerback sustained a concussion. As for the Texans’ side of the aisle, former Patriots in Burkhead and Cannon have yet to practice this week. The running back is dealing with a hip issue and the tackle is dealing with a back issue.
LIMITED PARTICIPATION
Patriots
- LB Ronnie Perkins (ankle)
- LB Ja’Whaun Bentley (shoulder)
- LB Kyle Van Noy (groin)
- S Kyle Dugger (hamstring)
- S Cody Davis (knee)
- K Nick Folk (left knee)
- CB Jonathan Jones (ankle)
- CB Jalen Mills (hamstring)
Texans
- WR Danny Amendola (thigh)
- C Justin Britt (knee)
Van Noy went from sidelined to limited while managing a groin injury that recently kept the veteran linebacker questionable. New England’s other seven limited participants on Thursday had also practiced in that capacity on Wednesday. All but Perkins and Bentley were active last Sunday. The latter injured his shoulder in Week 3 and was listed as questionable in Week 4. Bentley saw 137 snaps through his first three starts of the campaign, recording 20 tackles, including a pair for loss. And for Houston, Amendola got in a second partial practice while managing a thigh injury. The 35-year-old slot receiver caught a touchdown in his Texans debut.
FULL PARTICIPATION
Patriots
- no players listed
Texans
- RB Scottie Phillips (illness)
- CB Jimmy Moreland (illness)
No members of New England’s active roster graduated to full participation on Thursday. Both Phillips in the offensive backfield and Moreland in the defensive backfield stayed in full for the Texans while recovering from illnesses.
