Though we are less than 48 hours out from Sunday’s matchup between the New England Patriots and Carolina Panthers, the status for many players are still up in the air.

New England listed a total of — players as questionable for Sunday’s game, keeping with the theme of the past few weeks. They did however see J.C. Jackson come off of the report as he was able to get over an illness that kept him out of practice on Wednesday and Thursday.

Carolina still lists starting quarterback Sam Darnold as questionable with a concussion and throwing shoulder injury. If he is unable to play on Sunday that would leave the starting job to P.J. Walker, who Bill Belichick said New England would be prepared for.

The Panthers had three players listed as questionable with three different practice statuses. Guard Pat Elflein was a full participant, while quarterback Sam Darnold was limited and cornerback Stantley Thomas-Oliver was out.

Running back Christian McCaffrey (hamstring) is not listed on the injury report given that he officially remains on injured reserve for now. He returned to practice earlier this week, but has yet to be activated to the Carolina 53-man roster.
