It was a busy week for those who follow the injury report, as the New England Patriots loaded it up full of players that were “questionable.” Good news, however, is that only one player from that final list on Friday will end up missing Sunday’s game versus the Carolina Panthers. Interestingly enough, it’s the second straight week that we’ve seen such tactics.
As they head back on the road looking to break the .500 mark on the season, here is who will be in and out for the Patriots and Panthers.
Patriots inactives
TE Devin Asiasi
G Yasir Durant
RB J.J. Taylor
WR N’Keal Harry
DE Ronnie Perkins
CB Shaun Wade
Another week full of healthy inactives for the Patriots. The only new addition to this list is wide receiver N’Keal Harry, who was added to Friday’s injury report with a knee injury. He tool the place of the now active Brandon King, who missed last week’s game in Los Angeles with a thigh injury. Harry’s addition to the list comes after some optimism that he may start to break into the lineup more often down the stretch.
The rest of the list rolls over from last week as Devin Asiasi, Yasir Durant, J.J. Taylor, Ronnie Perkins, and Shaun Wade are all considered healthy scratches. Asiasi, Perkins, and Wade have yet to play a snap this season, while Durant and Taylor will miss their third and fifth games respectively.
Panthers inactives
RB Royce Freeman
CB Stantley Thomas-Oliver
LB Kamal Martin
WR Shi Smith
DT Phil Hoskins
CB C.J. Henderson
G Pat Elflein
Despite some uncertainty that they may not play on Sunday, both Sam Darnold and Christian McCaffrey will be active for the Panthers. It is a possibility that neither start the game however as they are both recovering from injuries.
