The New England Patriots had to watch from their homes — the team missed the playoff tournament after going just 7-9 during the regular season — but they did see some familiar faces on the field when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers took on the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 55: Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski led the Buccaneers to a dominant 31-9 victory, earning the organization its second Vince Lombardi Trophy.
Gronkowski, for comparison, has now been part of three championship teams. Brady, on the other hand, is moving in a whole different stratosphere.
The greatest quarterback of all time has just won his seventh title, more than any other player and any other franchise in league history. Naturally, teammates past and present took to social media after the game to share their appreciation for what the 43-year-old has accomplished in Year One after leaving New England to join the Buccaneers.
