Don’t be sad that Julian Edelman’s career is over, be happy that you got to experience it over the last 12 seasons.
“It was a hard decision but the right decision for me and my family. And I’m honored and so proud to be retiring a Patriot,” said the 34-year-old in his retirement video released on Monday. Edelman won three Super Bowls with the New England Patriots but recently was hampered by a nagging knee injury.
While his playing career is now over, it is worth celebrating what he accomplished. His rise from college quarterback to one of the best postseason wide receivers in NFL history has earned him a spot in New England Patriots history, after all, and also made him a favorite among fans.
