N’Keal Harry has been one of the most talked about players throughout this New England Patriots offseason. The third-year receiver entered training camp after his agent requested a trade, but has since been in the midst of the best summer of his career.
After finishing New England’s first preseason game with just one catch on one target in 36 snaps, Harry’s rollercoaster of an offseason continued. During Thursday night’s preseason matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, the rollercoaster took another dip as Harry was forced from the game in the second quarter with an apparent shoulder injury.
The injury occurred after Harry dropped a beautifully thrown deep ball from Mac Jones:

The pass traveled nearly 50-yards in the air and hit Harry in the hands. On the television broadcast, analyst Scott Zolak argued the receiver should have ran through the ball instead of attempting the full-extension snag. The leap resulted in Harry landing hard on his left shoulder and remained down for several minutes.
He took a quick visit in the blue medical tent before departing for the locker room for the remainder of the night. After the game, Harry was spotted leaving the stadium with his arm in a sling:

Harry’s status will certainly be closely monitored in the upcoming days, as the 2019 first-round pick was looking to earn his spot on the Patriots 53-man roster.
New England will also keep an eye on starting linebacker Josh Uche’s status. The second-year defender also left the field in the first half and retreated to the locker room. He was not seen again.
